Works great, easy to clean Feb 08, 2010
Pros:
Works great!
Cleanup when not using sticky ingredients (like chocolate chips) is easy - I just fill with water and set it on the base and blend a few seconds. Don't even need to scrub most of the time.

Cons:
Straw in cap does not reach edge and therefore cannot dispense all of the liquid.

Notes: Construction is "adequate". For the price you can't really expect Cuisinart. I used the unit almost every day last summer and did not have the burnout problems some other reviewers had. However, I generally make simple shakes (milk, ice cream, chocolate sauce) so I may be going easy on the unit by not using ice or frozen fruits.

Suggestion: when not planning to "take", just cover the top with a plastic lid during blending instead of screwing on the straw lid. Makes making shakes even faster, and cleanup easier.

I bought this product for my daughter since she is a healthcare nut and she loves it! The best part is being able to put all incredients into the blender, mix, and that same blender becomes your sport bottle with a built in straw.
I also purchased the 2 pak of extra bottles which is great, so we all can use it. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

The concept is great but the mechanics of the design are fatally flawed. I got one of these and it worked fine, and so I ordered a few as gifts. Most of them don't work, and the main problem is the way the bottle interacts with the base. This is made even worse by bad workmanship. The tabs pop out, the links don't connect, etc. It is very frustrating to have gifts fail to work. I ordered one for my daughter; it won't work at all; I ordered another, and its tabs jump off. This needs a technical re-design to be a reliable and satisfactory product to live up to the good idea.

Love this item - easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store. I only wish I used it more often but I definitely recommend it . Great for making a smoothie before heading to the gym. Just take the cup with build in straw with you. A real find!

I have bought at least 5 different shakers and mini blenders! This one is the best so far.
I only used it for protein shakes, they come out fantastic, perfectly mixed and smooth.
I love the fact that there is no need for cups and straws which means less washing!!!
Highly recommended!!! Only minor draw back is the bottle if fragile so not to squeeze it too tight especially when trying to open it which is challenging at times.
