I bought this for my 11 year old daughter who struggles terribly in math. We go through notebook after notebook just to understand concepts - this year she starts junior high (and her first year of public school) so I thought this would help us not only become a little more green by using less paper, but also add an element of 'fun' to an otherwise tedious subject. The boogie board is amazing-easy to write, easy to read and provides entertainment on those long flight to the pacific northwest. We love the product.

Pretty useful, but nothing spectacular Feb 15, 2011

I bought this thing because I have a lot of online math and physics homework and I was burning through scratch paper like crazy. It works great, it is easy to use and read, it is compact, lightweight, fits easily in my backpack etc. It is great when I get the answer right on my first try, but if there is something wrong, I have to copy down my work onto paper if I want to get help. Also, some problems are so complex, that they do not fit onto the half-sheet sized device, which is annoying. But overall, it works great, as long as you realize its just an expensive and useful version of a child's toy...

I got this note pad for Christmas, and I use it almost everyday. Great for writing short reminders or little love notes. Although it does not have a replaceable battery, the documentation says it can be erased about 50,000 times. You can write in thin or thick lines depending upon the pressure used with the provided stylus. The screen is black and the writing is dark green. I would give it a 5 if the writing showed up white, which would be easier to see.

I really like my boogie board for scratch paper, but not alot else. Its super helpful for my algebra and chemistry classes, and its great to carry along to school or babysitting where it isnt practical to have sheets and sheets of paper. Super cool, earth friendly idea. I wish it was rechargeable though! It seems like for such a green product, you would be able to recharge it after the 50,000 erases it gives you. I have all honors and AP classes, so I feel like I'm gonna go through those super fast! Downloading notes would make it the ultimate tablet, but I could always upgrade to the new rip one once this runs out of erases.Also, it sometimes picks up your hand if you have dry skin. Get a case for it, to prevent it getting written on in your bag. Overall, good product, fun to use, Did I mention it writes like a dream? It does.
