Make your slendertone pads last forever Jul 26, 2011
By usclawgrad2001 Before I bought this item, I kept seeing people complain that the pads wore out so quickly. I saw some people that said that they drenched the pads in rubbing alcohol to make them last longer. Others online recommended using window cleaner after each use. And still others said to use water based lubricant. I tried the rubbing alcohol and window cleaner and that didn't really work well because if you were using a towel to apply the stuff to the pads, the towel would stick and leave residue on the pads. The water based lubricants would probably be too messy. After thinking about it some more, I came up with the perfect solution. I found something that combines all the things everyone else had recommended (or elements of each) in a nice, none messy solution... so if you want to keep your slendertone pads working for a very, very long time, just use PURELL (OR ANY ALCOHOL BASED HAND SANITIZER) after each use. Put a couple drops on there, rub it on the pad to cover the surface and then wipe off the excess or just let it dry. No dripping mess, no towels sticking to the pads and no mess on you either. Works like a charm and the pads become sticky and work like new each time. I haven't had to replace any of my pads in months and months.

Very good! with some new notes and some issues Dec 01, 2009

Purchased this product a few days ago and used it for the first time two days ago. I am a long time fan/user of electronic muscle stim as a supplement to my regular workouts, and this product made my arms incredibly sore in the way that lets me know the muscles received a great stimulation. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to add to their routine. A recent article in the Wall Street journal talked about how stim will NOT make you toned but it will make your muscles stronger. I use this product along with a regular gym routine to train my bi's and tri's.
EDIT - April 2010 - have had this product for 4 months now and wanted to amend my review. The little metal clips where the power pack attaches to the arm unit are a bit flimsy. Mine have come out about 3 times and I was lucky enough to find them and put them back into their sockets. I had to use pliers to force it back in. For a $100 item this should not be the case, I still use it and it works - but I would change my review to 4 stars based on this annoyance.

AMESOME May 30, 2010
By M. Bartoletti I'm 24 and was a gym rat for a while and was training to be a physical trainer until I messed up my shoulders and haven't lifted weights for almost 2 years. I went from 220 to 180lbs and was pretty depressed about not being able to lift. I always laughed at these types of things, but I figured I had no other choice now. I just got mine less than a week ago and have used them about 3 or 4 times now and they are incredible. I'm gaining back the muscle I lost from not working out. I am so impressed with these things. I'm not sure if they will build muscle if that's what you are looking for, but they are recovering the muscle I once had. They DEFINITELY tone your arms if that's what you are looking for. This is perfect for a woman trying to just tone their arms or for a person like me who can't lift anymore or a guy trying to maintain without going to the gym. Can't say enough good things about this product. I also have the ab belt, which is a great product as well (just make sure you eat right) A+

Great product Feb 20, 2010
By nature girl Been using the Flex Pro Arms for a month and can see and feel larger muscles. My arm measurements have gone up 1/2 inch and is firming up the bottom wing part which us girls want.
Also use on the top of my legs to give them a work out by adding an extender on the system. Works great.
System has lots of power and is made well so I am glad I got it.
At 67 I am active playing tennis, dancing, and love to travel so this product is great for my lifestyle.

very good Sep 01, 2010
By RP If you've searched the internet for studies on electronic muscle stim for increasing strength, like I have, there isn't much info available, other than company ads. I heavily research supplements I buy and the lack of "real" reviews is often frustrating. But overall I like this product. I dont use it as a standalone, but instead as an extra to regular workouts. Despite the fact it is somewhat uncomfortable to use at high settings, I got up to 99 the first use, and normally use it set at 85-95 most of the time, which for me is comfortable,. I normally use it for about 1.5-2.5 hours at a time, 3 times a week, which may seem a bit long, but for me i've gotten better results that way. The stim feels like a heavy vibration, with a little sting at high settings. The trick is to start off low and work the intensity up over the course of the session, not start and crank it right up to 99 in the first minute. I have been using the same pads for 3 months now, and they are almost as good as when i bought the unit. After each use, I use a spray bottle and mist the pads with water. This keeps them from dehydrating and they still work just fine, so I wouldn't worry about having to constantly buy new pads from slendertone if you do this. This can make your muscles quite sore, which is great because thats how i judged it effectiveness(has helped improve arm definition). I would give it 5 stars, because I believe it basically works as advertised, but I would change one thing. I wish the unit could create longer contractions, for example contract the muscle for 30 seconds, instead of six. I think that would be more beneficial for endurance training, just my opinion. I will definantly continue to use this product.
